Registration and more information
The ServSafe® Food Handler course, taught by a Certified ServSafe® Instructor, provides basic food safety knowledge. This two-and-a-half-hour class covers five key areas: Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross Contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and Cleaning and Sanitizing. At the end of the class, participants will take the online certification exam and will receive a certificate after passing it (in about one week).

ServSafe Food Protection Manager Class and Exam – Two Days

The Food Safety Manager Course is for individuals preparing to take the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam.

After taking the course and passing the proctored, multiple choice exam with a score of 75% or higher, participants will receive a Food Protection Manger Certificate, valid for up to five (5) years. If you are uncertain as to whether you need certification, contact your local Department of Health. ServSafe is accredited by the American National Standards institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).

ServSafe classroom training is accepted in all 50 states for regulatory requirements up to 16 hours. This class will include an online test for instant grading and immediate certificate download. Price includes two day course instruction, free study guide and practice test and ServSafe® exam. Attendees will be provided with a computer by our exam proctor and the test will be graded instantly.

Materials

The ServSafe Manager Book is included in the course fee. It covers critical principles including: personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees, and more.

ServSafe Food Handler Class and Assessment – Two Hours

The ServSafe Food Handler Class is offered in a two- hour training session. The material uses common workforce language that makes information easy to understand and able to be put to use effectively on the job.

At the end of the course, employees will be given a 40-question test-assessment to measure their knowledge and understanding of food safety. After passing the assessment, employees will receive a ServSafe® Food Handler certificate of completion with their name.

The assessment will be administered by a ServSafe Food Handler Registered Instructor. The ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is valid for three years.

Who is this for?

Anyone who is involved in the preparation, storage, or service of food. For staff training purposes, the ServSafe Food Handler Course has been designed to easily integrate food safety into any existing on-boarding training program. This course is also ideal for concession stand workers, service staff and social hall kitchen volunteers.
