Makerspace Equipment Certification Trainings

Select equipment in the makerspace requires certification prior to use, including the laser cutters, CNC machine, and sewing machines. You can attend an in-person machine-specific use and safety certification class or complete a hybrid course with an online tutorial and in-person practical session.

View our calendar of events for our in-person equipment certification classes.

Our hybrid equipment certification option consists of completing an online course with a follow-up, in-person practical session with Exploration Commons staff. Get started by selecting the online course below. You will need to create an account for the Niche Academy platform to access the online course. This will allow you to receive a certificate of completion and it will also record your completion and quiz score. Once you have successfully passed the quiz, please submit the Certification Completion Training form to schedule your hands-on equipment test.

Epilog Fusion Pro Laser Machine Use and Safety Training
